Drop log file(s) here
or click to browse · .txt / .log / .err / .zip / .gz / .bin
ZIP may also contain Vocollect .bt2 voice templates — parsed separately in the Recognition tab
Flexera FlexNet Publisher .bin license files (activation request / capability request / capability response) are decoded in Activation Requests
How It Works

LogScan runs entirely in your browser — no data is uploaded to any server.

1. Upload one or more .txt / .log files, or a .zip containing supported logs. ZIP contents are processed client-side; each parsed line keeps its originating filename so you can filter and trace entries back to the exact source file. A ZIP may also contain Vocollect .bt2 voice-template files (and an operator .xml) — these are extracted and summarised in the Recognition tab without affecting log analysis. Standalone or ZIP-nested Flexera FlexNet Publisher licensing .bin files (activation request / capability request / capability response) appear in Activation Requests, with their raw bytes also available in Raw Log.

2. Configure thresholds (Battery %, RSSI, Failures, Errors, Memory, Flash) and your keyword list.

3. Analyse — the parser will:

  • Segregate lines into categories and tag each line with its source file
  • Detect anomalies (battery, RSSI, failures, errors, transient socket, WMS, custom keywords)
  • Detect device threshold exceedances (Memory, Flash, CPU, Battery Temperature) using current defaults and available UI thresholds
  • Extract chart metrics (network, AP usage, AP Survey signal %, CPU, battery %, consumption, memory, flash)
  • Extract headset metrics (battery voltage from EVDETCT: SRX Level — ADC Level false readings excluded; temperature from temp (C):)
  • Extract headset identity info (type, headset ID, headband ID, headset SN, battery SN, battery state) from multiple log entry formats
  • Parse packet-capture files found inside ZIP uploads into readable [PCAP] lines and expose downloadable .pcap links for Wireshark
  • Detect and parse Vocollect .bt2 voice-template files found inside ZIP uploads — extract word label, timestamp, SW version, device type, and checksum for each template; parse operator info from an accompanying .xml; display results in the Recognition tab with per-template download and in-browser rename
  • Detect and decode Flexera FlexNet Publisher licensing .bin files (activation request / capability request / capability response), standalone or found inside ZIP uploads — extract the envelope header and embedded identifiers (host IDs, entitlement/serial numbers, fulfillment GUIDs); display results in Activation Requests and the full hex/ASCII byte dump in Raw Log, with per-file download
  • Extract GWS, Dialogue (##, #r#, #rp#, *r*, ^^), Recognition, and Headset entries

4. Explore the analysis tabs:

  • Network — RSSI levels, roaming attempts, AP Survey signal quality (%), average and lowest AP signal lists, most used APs, packet-capture download links when ZIP uploads contain captures, and a custom combined chart (Signal / Roaming / RSSI) with presets, per-series colors, and dual Y-axes
  • Anomalies — grouped anomalies with severity indicators
  • Device Stats — device info, grouped device issues by type, individual metric charts (battery, consumption, charge, CPU, memory, flash), a custom combined chart (CPU / Memory / Flash / Battery Temp / Consumption), and History & Compare by Device ID (load prior runs, compare baseline vs current, delete single runs, or delete all runs for a selected device)
  • Raw Log — full log viewer with keyword search, line numbering, horizontal scroll for long lines, and a source file filter dropdown to restrict the view to a single uploaded file; source-change divider rows mark transitions between files; active keyword and source filters are shown as chips above the log
  • Delay Calculator — keyword sequence delay analysis with clickable time buckets (0–1.8 s, 1.8–3 s, 3–5 s, 5 s+) for focused investigation; source file filter scopes calculations to one file; cross-file source dividers appear in results when events span multiple files
  • GWS Analysis — GWS log entries with keyword search, source line tracing, and a source file filter
  • Headset — headset identity stats (type, headset ID, headband ID, headset SN, battery SN, battery state); separate battery voltage chart with 3.4 V low-battery threshold line; separate temperature chart with configurable high/low threshold lines; a custom combined chart (Battery Voltage / Temperature) with presets, per-series colors, and dual Y-axes; and a source file filter for the entry list
  • Dialogue — dialogue marker entries (##, #r#, #rp#, *r*, ^^) with keyword search, source line tracing, and a source file filter
  • Recognition — ASR/recognition event entries with keyword search, source line tracing, and a source file filter; when a ZIP containing Vocollect .bt2 voice templates is uploaded, a Voice Templates panel appears showing operator info chips, a sortable metadata table (word label, size, timestamp, SW version, device type, checksum), a per-template ↓ download button, an inline ✎ rename tool that patches both the filename and the binary word label simultaneously, and a bulk CSV export
  • Activation Requests — Flexera FlexNet Publisher licensing .bin files, with their envelope header and extracted identifiers; the complete raw hex/ASCII byte dump remains available in Raw Log
  • AI Insights — send analysed context (anomaly summary, device info, optional sample log lines) to any OpenAI-compatible endpoint; provide your own API key, model, and a natural-language question to get a diagnostic summary or root-cause analysis; responses are rendered directly in the tab and never cached or sent to any LogScan server

5. Visual Feedback — Charts highlight exceeded thresholds with dashed annotation lines and larger points for quick identification of problem areas. The 3.4 V headset battery threshold and configurable temperature high/low lines are shown on all relevant headset charts.

6. Chart InteractionDrag to pan left/right through time; scroll to zoom in/out; double-click a data point to jump to its source line in Raw Log. Combined charts (Network, Device Stats, Headset) support preset selection, individual series toggles, and custom per-series colors.

7. View Options — use the persistent header toggles to switch between Dark Mode, Gray Dark Mode, and Light Mode, between Wide View and normal width, and a font selector for preferred monospace or proportional typefaces.

8. Trace back from any data point, anomaly, or specialized section entry to the source line in Raw Log. Active filter chips in each tab show which keywords and source file are currently applied.

9. Export — download individual charts as PNG; export full analysis reports in TXT, CSV, or PDF. All tab exports include a Source scope header and group entries by originating file.

10. Device History (DB-backed) — in Device Stats, use History & Compare by Device ID to review previously analyzed runs tied to the current account, compare two runs, load an older run back into the UI, delete individual runs, or delete all runs for one device key.

11. AI Insights (v5.0) — after running analysis, open the AI Insights tab, enter your API endpoint, model, and key, then click Generate AI Insights. The tool builds a structured prompt from detected anomalies and device context and returns a concise diagnostic response. Your API key is used only for the live request and is never stored.
